Description The Department of Human Science invites applications for an educator-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor on a renewable 12-month contract. The Department of Human Science is located within the School of Health at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. The department has an undergraduate emphasis offering a strong foundation in human biology and faculty research that ranges from cellular and molecular biology, genetics, physiology, immunology, behavioral science and health promotion, to population and environmental health. We are seeking applicants with experience in teaching and a passion for undergraduate education and mentoring. Interested candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree. The successful candidate would be expected to teach laboratories in anatomy and physiology, microbiology, advise students, and participate in additional science courses as required. While teaching will be the primary focus, developing a biomedical research program that incorporates undergraduate students is an expectation for career advancement on the educator track. The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position is $95,000-$100,000, which represents the full range of anticipated compensation for this position. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
