What do you get to do in this position? As an
Associate Category Manager (Procurement) , you are responsible to ensure the best Quality, Cost and Delivery Conditions to supply managing
MV Transformer, Current Transformer/Voltage Transform (CT/VT) suppliers .
You are responsible to manage and drive the category strategy with Global Category Manager for +$200M of direct material spend working closely with Plant Procurement Managers and Customer Project Buyers.
Aligned with the Corporate and category Strategy, you are in charge to implement the best terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve on a sustainable basis, the targets allocated to the team and the Procurement Department (Supply Chain Resiliency, Suppliers Quality, Deliveries performances and Yearly Productivities):
- Focusing on Supply Chain Resiliency
- Ensure Business continuity respective ETO(Engineering to Order) business scope
- Work closely with Supply Chain planning team and category management to ensure Resiliency program / capacity enhancement program in place for respective scope
- Manage day to day operation with suppliers for respective scope
- Involve during the introduction of supplier strategies as earlier as possible in the project stage.
- Plan and deploy procurement levers to drive cost savings and performance improvement
- Drives productivity projects such as Quality Value Engineering (QVE), Change of Supplier (COS)/Rebalancing, Lean at Supplier.
- Formulate cross functional levers for Supplier performance, innovation, and sustainable growth with key stakeholder validation.
- Develop and maintain productivity forecasts
- Maintain and track performance dashboard; accountable for the consolidated cluster productivity performance
- Support & align development and execution of procurement categories strategy
- Maintains accuracy of Financial records at the cluster level and drive the Annual Procurement Operational Plan (APOP)
- Manage Regional cross functional team partnership with the Business Owners.
- Compliance to Procurement Excellence System (PES)
- Be the representative/voice for Schneider Electric to the suppliers in your category.
- Ensure category strategy is meeting business needs with its suppliers and conducting business reviews with suppliers to communicate the needs and performance.
- Contribute to the purchasing database/tools updates by providing necessary information to commodity managers / supplier leaders/ purchasing assistant
- Be the first escalation level for supplier crisis management.
- Communicate Supplier strategy internally
EDUCATION - MINIMUM REQUIRED - Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management or Engineering
- MBA (Preferred - not mandatory)
EXPERIENCE/PROFILE - MINIMUM REQUIRED - Minimum 3 years experience of ETO business
- Be able to navigate in a complex environment and organization
- Be able to connect with people and create strong networking in ETO organization.
- Be able to build strong relationship with Plant's different teams.
- Be able to influence, convince and drive positive change management
- Customer Centric, Strategic Thinking, Decision Maker, Problem Solving
- Capability of handling multiple tasks and priorities
- Have full accountability and leadership of the topics managing end to end governance
- Navigate and adapt in front of different stakeholders and peers.
- Experience in procurement or category management
- Cross-cultural experience
- Effective communication - ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner internally as well as externally
