Job Description This position will provide global business SME guidance and business integration support for IT systems and technologies within Manufacturing Engineering Services and other areas as needed. Serve as a business technical SME to provide technical evaluation and direction of tools associated with digital plant initiatives. Lead development of business processes associated with BIM, Asset, and CMMS data collection allowing for multi-system integration while maintaining alignment with engineering, health, safety, environmental and quality requirements. Provide technical and business SME strategies for the digital transformation associated with BIM. Drive continuous improvement and identify innovative solutions for engineering information management processes.
Responsibilities - Business/Technical SME role for the 3D modeling and smart P&ID adoption
- Serve as a liaison between business quality and computer systems quality personnel.
- Business/Technical SME for BIM (Building Information Modeling) strategies and technologies (Revit, Inventor, Plant 3D, GIS, BIM360, Autodesk Electrical & P&ID, etc.)
- Provide alignment with computer system validation and commissioning SME support.
- Apply understanding of global business and system processes to right-size digital transformation aligning with digital plant initiatives.
- Serve as a business technical liaison for Lilly IT and external partners on local IT systems and approaches related to engineering business processes.
- Partners with IT on lifecycle management for IT tools used in Manufacturing Engineering Services.
- Evaluate and implement global business processes and technical improvements.
- Keep current on industry standard technologies and best practices for CAD/BIM/engineering content management and digital transformation.
- Promote global engineering transformation tools and business processes to local business areas and global business partners.
- Develop internal business partnerships with Engineering Tech Center and Global Facilities Delivery to support engineering content management best practices and digital plant initiatives.
- Align with ETC Digital Manufacturing Engineering team on Digital Twin strategies and required engineering information foundation.
Basic Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT or equivalent work experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams globally
- Demonstrated ability to manage customer and vendor relationships
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Capital project execution experience
- Advanced experience supporting engineering information management using CAD and BIM tools
- Experience in various software designs, languages, and architecture
- Familiarity with computer networks and IT security management.
- Ability to influence diverse groups and effectively manage relationships.
Additional Preferences - Experience supporting GxP (GMP, GLP) IT systems.
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Experience supporting AutoCAD, Autodesk verticals and BIM/3D modeling tools (Revit, Inventor and Plant 3D)
- Proficient in technical writing, presentation and project management tools including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Access, MS Project and OneNote.
- Proficiency in using IT tools like GMARS (Maximo) and Kneat.
Additional Information - This position is for the dayshift. Core business hours are 9 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday. Flextime schedules based on personal and business needs. Some extended hours required to meet project deadlines.
- Less than 25% national and international travel may be required.
