Job Description
Franchise Hotel location is seeking an experienced, talented, driven leader with sales and marketing knowledge and background to fill the critical role of Director of Sales and Marketing at the Fort Worth, TX properties.
Responsibilities
- The Director of Sales will understand Hotel operations including room types, meeting capacities, service and features
- Create and execute an annual marketing plan addressing sales strategy and budget goals.
- Responsible for planning and implementing sales efforts for all short and long-range goals
- Set sales strategies to achieve overall property goals for both rate and occupancy
- Work closely with Hotel GM to assist in capturing group business in all segments including corporate, SMERF, and transient business
- Proactive solicitation of new business to achieve revenue goals
- Target accounts, markets, or segments with proactive solicitation and account saturation
- The Director of Sales will participate in local networking organizations, community, and industry events while representing the Hotels in a professional manner
- Strive for consistent improvement Guest Satisfaction scores to meet or exceed industry standards
- Developing and maintaining good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups, companies, and trade organizations.
- Monitoring sales activities to ensure that contracts and proposals are sent by sales associates and followed up in a timely manner.
- Ensure hotel participation in all brand revenue management initiatives.
- Lead property revenue meetings always ensuring revenue maximization and profit in all areas.
- Timely submission of required reports to General Manager, and Corporate Office.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Marriott and Hilton experience preferred
- Multi property oversight preferred
- Director of Sales candidates require strong leadership skills
- Seasoned sales skills
- Solid written and verbal English communication skills to effectively negotiate, persuade, influence, and sell full service and focus service brands are required.
- Well organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently
- Display initiative, perseverance, and analytical skills
- Professional and ethical
- Quick learner and hard worker
- Team player and ability to get along with others
- Possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive to customer appointments.
JOB SKILLS
* Computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheet, and familiarity with brand specific property
Management System(s).
- Ability to exercise excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management, and listening skills.
- Ability to use analytical skills for measuring business potential and value to the hotel.
- Ability to successfully interact with all levels of customers and hotel management.
