Job Description

We are a dynamic and growing intellectual property law firm looking for a dedicated paralegal to join our IP litigation team. This role offers the flexibility of being fully remote, whether you prefer part-time or full-time hours.

What You'll Do:

- File documents with various federal courts, ensuring compliance with court rules.
- Proofread and format documents for filing or service in different jurisdictions.
- Prepare initial drafts of simple documents, including proposed orders and notice of motions.
- Manage case files, maintaining both electronic and physical documents, correspondence, and exhibits.
- Coordinate document production and e-discovery, ensuring adherence to court rules and deadlines.
- Schedule court reporters, manage process servers, and handle other third-party coordination.
- Maintain and update the case management database, tracking deadlines and schedules.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and other litigation parties.

What We're Looking For:

- A Bachelor's degree or similar qualification is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, particularly in federal US district courts.
- Experience with intellectual property litigation is highly preferred.
- Comfort with locating and understanding local rules for different federal jurisdictions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Position Details:

- Type: Part-Time or Full-Time (with the option to start part-time and transition to full-time after 3 months)
- Salary:
- Part-Time: $30-40/hour (depending on experience)
- Full-Time: $65,000 - $85,000/year (depending on experience)
- Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package
- Work Environment: Fully remote; must have a stable internet connection
- Part-Time Hours: Minimum 4 hours daily, Monday through Friday, between 9:00am-6:00pm (Pacific Time)
