**This is an on-site 1099 Contract role payable at $30 per hour**

Entry Level Networking Engineer

We are looking for an entry-level Junior Network Engineer to provide hands, eyes, and feet support to implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and support all aspects of the network infrastructure on our customer’s site.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the existing network including replacing failed hardware as needed.
• Configure and install replacement hardware using a template (mostly Cisco switches).
• Monitor, update, and resolve daily tickets in a customer ticketing system based on Remedy software.
• Perform daily moves, adds, and changes.
• Perform all aspects of network administration, including documentation of hardware components.
• Assist project team with the completion of various ongoing project tasks.
• Performing Hands and Feet support for the Remote Network Management team.

Education & Experience Required

• A candidate aspiring to take their career further into the IT Data Center/Networking space
• A good knowledge of IT and IT operations
• Experience in installing and removing network devices would be useful, but not mandatory
• Certification in Network + would be beneficial but not mandatory
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Experience working in a manufacturing / automotive would be advantageous, but not mandatory.

• Able to meet the physical requirements of the usual and customary methods of performing the job functions, including a variety of standing, sitting, and walking throughout the day; and lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Bonus Points For:

• A+; Net+; CCT accreditations
• Experience with ServiceNow ticketing
• Cisco CLI

This is a 6-month 1099 contract role with the potential to be extended past this initial timeframe

Shifts: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm ( 40hour/weekly]; including (1) hour unpaid break)

Pay: $30 per hour
