Lawelawe is a Native Hawaiian Owned Small Disadvantaged Business (NHO SDB) that specializes in providing a range of services to federal government clients, including program management, digital solutions, human capital and training, and medical staffing. You Are: 

You are a highly skilled Software Engineer with a strong ability to bridge the gap between user needs and technological solutions. With a solid foundation in systems analysis, design, and implementation, you excel in managing complex applications and ensuring high-quality delivery throughout all phases of system development.

Your expertise in front-end development, including modern frameworks like Angular, and back-end technologies such as C# and .NET, enables you to create robust, well-functioning applications that meet both client-side and server-side requirements.

You will play a critical role in advancing our software development initiatives by seamlessly integrating user needs with cutting-edge technology solutions. Your expertise in high-level systems analysis, design, and implementation will ensure the successful delivery of complex applications, enhancing both functionality and user experience.

Responsibilities: 

• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
• Ability to translate legacy apps into new apps for modernization efforts
• Understand client-side and server-side architecture
• Develop and manage well-functioning applications
• Write effective APIs
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Assess and remediate any issues found during vulnerability scanning activities
• Write technical documentation
• Work with customer to enhance existing software
• Be an active participant in the Agile development process

Lawelawe Defense Inc ("LDI") is an SBA Certified 8(a) Native Hawaiian Owned (NHO) SDB Lawelawe Defense offers an outstanding record of delivery on various projects encompassing: Program and Portfolio Management; Systems Engineering and Architecture; Network Engineering and Operations; Data Center Optimization and Operations; Desktop/Server and Application Virtualization.

Here's what you need:

• Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Software Engineer working in a high-functioning, matrixed environment
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field with 5+ years’ experience
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• 5+ years’ experience using C#
• 5+ experience in debugging web applications using Microsoft Visual Studio
• Experience with Microsoft Web Forms, MVC, .NET Core/ .NET 6+, and .NET 4.x Framework
• Experience using Angular 13.x+ for Single-Page Application (SPA) architecture
• Experienced with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
• CompTIA Security+ certification required
• Active Secret clearance required
• Must be a US Citizen

Bonus points if:

• Proficient in modern UX Design principles (CSS, Bootstrap, Material, etc.)
• Skilled in writing SQL for major databases (Oracle 11-12.x, SQL Server)
• Knowledgeable in using APIs (JSON, XML, .NET Core / .NET 6+ with Web API preferred)
• Experienced with Source Control (Git, Azure DevOps, TFS)
• Familiar with Microsoft Blazor
• Well-versed in Agile development processes (SAFe, Kanban, Scrum, etc.)
• Adept at vulnerability analysis and remediation using commercial tools (HP Fortify, SonarQube, etc.)
• Familiarity with Classic ASP (VBScript) is a plus
• Knowledge of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) v4.x is a plus
