About the Role:
We're looking for a detail-oriented Medical Data Entry Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll focus on reviewing and verifying medical claims and billing information to ensure accuracy. If the system captures incorrect or incomplete data, you'll step in to enter or correct the necessary information. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy and enjoys working in a structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct quality checks on medical claims and bills to ensure system accuracy.
Enter correct information for any missing or incorrect data that the system fails to capture.
Validate system-generated data and input UB (Uniform Billing) or itemization (IB) charges into our database in a timely and precise manner.
Utilize our proprietary OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software to make necessary data corrections, amendments, or deletions.
Cross-check patient and provider details, along with general UB information, ensuring accuracy upon file receipt and before input.
Input breakdown charges (itemization) into our system as required.
Adhere to production volume expectations and quality control procedures daily.
Maintain HIPAA compliance throughout all communications and data handling.
Provide support to the team, including assisting with training new employees as needed.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
What You Bring:
Proficiency in typing (40+ words per minute) with strong accuracy in Alpha and 10-Key (8,000 keystrokes per hour with 90%+ accuracy).
Previous experience in data entry is preferred, but not required.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, navigating between windows and systems with ease.
Independent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.
