The Collections Specialist is responsible for following up with invoices that have been sent to payers but have not yet been paid. This individual is also responsible for researching denials and converting them. The
The starting pay for our Collections team is $19.00 per hour. This position also offers a weekly stipend of $125.00 for the responsibility of handling in-office duties. In addition to compensation, our full-time employees are eligible to receive the following competitive benefit package including Health, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance options, 401(k) Savings Plan with Employer Match, and our Employee Stock Purchase Plan! The weekly schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm CST.
**Must have Medical Collections Experience to be Considered**
Essential Job Functions
• Process at least 5 claims per hour
• Manage a portfolio of payers, ensuring collections, aging and denials are being processed in a timely fashion
• Assist with billing efforts by eliminating denials and keeping payer rules up to date
• Perform month end reconciliation; assisting other departments as needed
• Meet daily, monthly and quarterly collection goals set by management
• Ensure work being performed meets internal and external compliance requirements
