Job Description
We’re looking for a Night Auditor to assist guests with their overnight requests and balance accounts from the day shift. Night Auditor responsibilities include checking in guests, handling their requests and taking reservations. The Night Auditor also reconciles all accounts, processes invoices and prepares paychecks. Ultimately, you will provide excellent customer service to guests and keep the front desk and accounting operations running smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Responsible for the front desk operation during the overnight shift (Typically 11pm-7am)
- Primary responsibilities include: registering guests making reservations preparing daily reports balancing transactions and conducting security walks
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Must be able to work in a self-managed environment
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly service-oriented manner
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel policies as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform when working
- Comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
- Initiate and complete the End of Day process
- Run all reports as required for Food and Beverage audit
- Complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures daily
- Balance the day's work (i.e movie revenue telephone postings valet laundry server's and desk agent's paperwork etc.)
- Maintain cashiering responsibilities as per Front Office procedures
- Fulfill all Front Office functions between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m
- Handle and follow through on all guest requests daily from 11:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m
- Follow safety and emergency procedures according to hotel standards
- Maintain proper record keeping and keep accurate financial records and ledgers
- Be familiar with all the hotel's policies and house rules
- Maintain radio contact with other associates during entire shift
- Have a working knowledge of security procedures
- Distribute work (i.e. revenue printouts charge and paid folios vouchers and checks etc.) as directed by S.O.P.'s
- Handle items for lost and found according to the standard procedures
- Review room and tax posting on computer or register for accuracy, immediately correcting any errors
- Ensure all house charges are posted accurately and in a timely fashion
- Complete and transmit daily management/accounting reports with any supporting documentation ensuring the accurate accounting of the hotel revenues and expenses
- Understand, know and follow management company's accounting and credit policies and procedures
- Attend meetings as required by management
- Perform any other duties as requested

Requirements
* Proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
* Experience with accounting and facilities management software
* Excellent Math Skills
* Any eye for detail and ability to multitask
* Strong customer service skills
* Availability to work overnight and regular and on-time attendance is critical
* BS in accounting, finance or relevant field
* Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
* Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis
* Regular and on-time attendance is critical
* Able to lift and move up to 20 pounds occasionally
* Opera Cloud Experience is Required
