The City of Menlo Park is one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s premier business and residential communities. We’re currently seeking a responsible individual to help enforce local and State parking regulations, as well as local and State ordinances related to municipal code violations and other non-criminal matters.
This is a civilian classification established for the handling of a variety of public service functions in the Parking Enforcement Division of the Police Department, with the main focus being overnight parking enforcement.

The specific duties of a Parking Enforcement Officer include issuing parking citations using an automated citation machine; maintaining department records & files; providing information and assistance to the public; operating radio and communications equipment; and attending in-service and external training programs.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, have good written and communication skills, be in good physical condition, have normal color vision, and possess a valid CA Driver's License. Must be at least 18 years of age at time of appointment, and be able to pass a background investigation and psychological & medical examinations prior to appointment.
