This Fall Internship is from September through December 13th (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work part-time hours (10-29 a week). Our offices are open Monday through Friday, 9-6 pm. This position is ideal for a student enrolled in an accredited college or university. A hybrid work structure may or may not be available.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: Sony Pictures Television Production Finance provides first-in-class production finance and operational support to production accounting teams on television productions worldwide.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This role will have opportunities to support Finance Executive teams in all aspects of production accounting setup, maintenance, and reporting. There will be opportunities to work in location accounting software programs while supporting and learning about the processes required to successfully execute the financial process behind making successful domestic and international television programming.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will be eager to learn about the many processes, systems, and programs necessary to support and deliver a television series efficiently and on budget. They should be able to multi-task, be a quick study, be able to communicate effectively with both production and corporate stakeholders, and be confident and curious.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Technology is an important tool in supporting television production. Preferred qualities include solid Excel skills, as well as other Office products (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.)
The anticipated base salary for this position is $19/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
