DESCRIPTION
Amazon internships are full-time positions, and interns should expect to work Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 8am-5pm. Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager. Interns should not have conflicts such as classes or other employment during the Amazon work-day.
Applicants should have a minimum of one quarter/semester/trimester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes. Key job responsibilities
As a Programmer Analyst Intern, you will/may:
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and support internal end-use tools/applications (e.g., CRM systems, financial systems, BI applications).
• Enhance existing data models and code in ways that extend the functionality of applications, improve business processes, and help end users do their jobs better.
• Proactively work to understand functional business requirements and end-user frustrations for applications supported.
• Work as a liaison between business and technical stakeholders to analyze and validate requirements for changes to information systems.
• Employ modelling and flowcharting techniques to propose IT solutions.
• Develop pragmatic solutions without overengineering.

Our internship program provides hands-on learning and building experiences for students. In addition to working on an impactful project, you will have the opportunity to engage with Amazonians for both personal and professional development, expand your network, and participate in fun activities with other interns throughout the summer. No matter the location of your internship, we give you the tools to own your internship and learn in a real-world setting.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience in object-oriented design skills
- Experience writing clean code for basic data structures and algorithms
- Experience reading and understanding complex code
- Experience in root-cause problem solving
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship maximum
- Currently working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Management, Informatics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other equivalent discipline, with an expected conferral date between October 2025 – December 2028.
