Redwood Smiles is a leading pediatric dental and orthodontic practice located in Redwood City, CA and we are all about kids! Our practice was designed with children in mind. From the toys and video games in our colorful waiting room to our children themed treatment rooms, we provide our patients with a fun, comfortable and enjoyable dental experience.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant or Dental Assistant (RDA/DA) to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in helping us create beautiful smiles and improving our patients' oral health. You will work directly with our orthodontists, supporting both clinical and administrative functions in our practice.

• Monday-Friday, 1-2 Saturdays per month

Q ualifications & Skills

• Certified as a Registered Dental Assistant or have completed a Dental Assistant Program
• Previous experience in Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, or General Dentistry is preferred
• X-Ray License Preferred
• Upbeat personality a must
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong Attention to Detail
• Punctual and Reliable

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor during patient examinations, procedures, and adjustments
• Greet and prepare patients for treatment.
• Take dental x-rays, digital scans, and orthodontic photos.
• Assist with orthodontic procedures, such as bonding brackets, taking impressions, and placing archwires.
• Make impressions of patients teeth for the creation of orthodontic appliances
• Work in a fast pace environment, while multitasking 
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care for orthodontic appliances
• Other duties as assigned
