Job Description
What you'll do:
- Cleaning and sanitizing tanks, cleaning the outsides of vessels, cleaning floors and drains, and maintaining the appearance of the brewhouse and cellar, to include walls, windows, and ceilings.
- Cleaning-in-place/Sanitation-in-place using corrosives/strong acids/bases.
- Disassembly and Cleaning-out-of-Place (COP) using corrosives/strong acids/bases. Reassembly as needed.
- Close adherence to all SOPs and safety procedures, as provided.
- Upholding and advancing our quality standards.
- Accurately completing all checklists.
- Maintain a daily log book and turning into supervisor weekly
Requirements
- 2+ years in the Food or Beverage manufacturing industry
- Efficient Organization and time management skills
- Excellent communication (written & verbal) in English & Spanish
- Basic arithmetic and understanding of throughput and efficiency concepts

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
The following requirements are conditions of employment. Applicants must have the ability and willingness to meet these requirements at the time of employment application filing and maintain these requirements throughout employment.
- This position is located at our plant in Ventura, CA. Applicants must be able to reliably commute to the plant on a daily basis. No relocation assistance available
- Adapt to work around changes in brewing, packaging and production schedules and work various schedules, which may also include: additional shifts or hours, swing, on-call, or night shifts, weekends, holidays, and/or overtime as operations dictate. Additionally, management reserves the right to temporarily or permanently revise working hours to meet the needs of the company
- Safely work around and communicate in a hot, cold, wet, damp, slick, and loud indoor/outdoor production environment for extended periods of time
- Safely handle and work around moving machinery and mechanical devices, chemicals, gasses and hot liquids in high places and confined spaces
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies throughout the brewery, work safely, effectively use checklists and job-aids, and keep working areas clean & tidy
- Continuously lift to shoulder height and carry up to 75 lbs. with or without assistive devises and push or pull up to 200 lbs.
- While unassisted: bend, sit, kneel and squat, balance, twist and turn, reach over one's shoulders, walk and stand continuously for extended periods of time over uneven surfaces; walk up and down stairs: ascend and descend ladders
- Physical ability to crouch, stand, or climb rapidly and continuously throughout a 8-10 hour brewing shift.
- See close and long distance and all of the primary colors
- Maintain respiratory fitness and clean- shaven face for proper respirator fit, wear supplied protective eyewear, and hearing protection as-needed
- Successfully multi-task
- Maintain personal sobriety during working hours. Employees are prohibited from consuming unauthorized alcohol during working hours, including meal and break periods, and before working hours.
- Abide by all wage and hour rules.
- Maintain punctuality and predictable attendance and eagerness to manage time and resources to get the job done safely and correctly
- Behave in a supportive, professional and respectful way towards all staff, vendors, partners, clients, and visitors
