Our client is a mid-sized Gov Con looking to add a Senior Accountant to their finance team due to growth. This role is located in Northern VA on a hybrid schedule. 

Deltek Costpoint experience is required.

This is a permanent, direct hire opportunity offering great benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in month-end closing and consolidated financial statement preparation, review, and distribution.
• Performing financial statement variance analysis and explaining fluctuations from month to month, year over year and against budgets.
• Conducting accounting research to answer inquiries and applying proper accounting treatment.
• Providing responses to other departments inquiries related to financial transactions in a timely manner.
• Inventory account reconciliation and review of all balances.
• Providing analytical review and support to the Finance division, external and government audit support.
• Assisting in system automation projects; ensuring that financial systems used are cost effective and efficient and meet the requirements of the Finance division.
• Assisting in maintenance of accounting internal controls, policies and procedures. Identifying problems and developing improved processes.
• Assisting in maintaining cost pools and adhering to Disclosure Statement.
• Working knowledge of various types of government contracts.
• Experience with Equivalent Annual Cost (EAC) review and analysis.
