Job Description

About the company

We're looking for an experienced SEO Strategist to come on board and help us take Growth Partners Media to the next level. We are a digital marketing agency that likes to do things a little differently — bringing humanity, openness, curiosity and fun to our work while pushing ourselves to achieve excellence in what we do.

Born in the UK and now spread across mainland Europe with the bulk of our team situated in Serbia and North Macedonia. We're fully remote with a relaxed but driven working culture. We don't take ourselves too seriously and love a bit of work banter! But we do take our work seriously and go above and beyond our competition to achieve phenomenal results for our clients.

So what do we actually do?

We provide link acquisition and content creation services to clients all over the world. We're talking cream of the crop, A-grade quality services here with amazing clients doing really cool things in the world.

We typically work with early-stage to Series B -- SAAS companies along with a few special ad-hoc clients.

Not only do we achieve growth for our clients, helping them build their businesses, hire more people and provide more value to the world. But we achieve growth internally by pushing ourselves, challenging our own assumptions and learning from our mistakes 💪

We're dead serious about achieving excellence, doing great work and pushing ourselves to reach our full potential.

We're also system-driven to ensure smooth operations and consistent quality delivery of services. With over 70 standard operating procedures we created from scratch, we're more efficient and productive than most.

This is a role where you will be tested.

You will need to wear many hats. Deal with pressure. Plan. Prioritise. And step out of your comfort zone. You're not easily phased and can take constructive feedback.

The rewards will be great. As we grow there is not only huge income and promotion potential but the opportunity to learn new skills, get involved in different areas of the business and be part of a startup that is doing things differently .

About the role

You'll be working in operations, project managing client link-building campaigns, and advising clients on content strategy to help them grow and get the maximum impact from our off-site work. You will be focusing on outreach campaigns and landing links through partnerships and collaborations with brands. You know about things like 3-way link swaps, link inserts and guest posts.

You will also be responsible for strategic initiatives that relate to client work. This involves conducting extensive audits, monitoring performance, and reporting campaign progress. This is an SEO Strategist role, so it requires a deep understanding of content marketing, customer buying cycles, sales funnels and content strategy as well as exemplary communication skills. A high-level understanding of conversion-rate optimisation is also important.

Bonus if you've worked on your own SEO projects. We'd love to hear about these!

You will also be in charge of overseeing our email outreach initiatives. This includes managing email deliverability, reviewing and refreshing outreach sequences. And potentially creating new ones. Growth Partners is not like other agencies. We don't tolerate average – and this mantra applies to the way we approach email campaigns. Years of testing cold email have taught us many things. We strive to be original, genuine and fun with our messaging. You won't find any tired templates used by other marketers here.

The role will also involve managing various complex moving parts associated with partnership link-building. We built our own systems for this from scratch, allowing us to collaborate seamlessly with hundreds of brands.  This involves managing partners, link placement timeframes and operational processes like our guest-posting workflow. You will need to pitch relevant topic ideas to brands, create content briefs and pass these down to our writers to execute.

You will also be client-facing, speaking directly with your managed clients through email and also over ZOOM. Even suggesting ways for them to upgrade their services with us if relevant. You need to be confident talking about SEO and presenting yourself to clients over a video call.

As our SEO Strategist, you will be responsible for managing our editorial link services and strategy for clients. This means you'll be accountable for your client deadlines but also responsible for overseeing the delivery of client work being handled by other team members (Outreach Specialists). This will involve elements of project management, operational excellence and team reporting.

Overall, this is an incredible opportunity to work with several SAAS brands. Understand what works for them by seeing behind the scenes. And advise them on the best strategic approach through our expert-led guidance and your SEO knowledge.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Completion of audits for clients, particularly kickstart campaign audits we perform and others as required (e.g technical audits).
  • Conduct initial meetings with clients to understand their business objectives, target audience, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze client SEO tactics, backlink profiles, and keyword strategies to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Develop off-page SEO strategies that align with keyword research and client goals, focusing on conversions over traffic and vanity metrics.
  • Ensure target content is optimized for primary/secondary keywords, readability, and user intent while adhering to SEO best practices.
  • Collaborate with content writers and designers to create high-quality content for link acquisition (guest posts).
  • Generate regular reports to track KPIs such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversion rates, and backlink quality.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage done for you client link-building campaigns from start to finish.
  • Manage client expectations and communicate regularly with clients you manage.
  • Pitching guest-post topics to high-authority websites, creating content briefs and submitting content once complete.
  • Manage client tracker spreadsheets ensuring all information is up to date.
  • Respond promptly and tactfully to any client issues.
  • Use of various tech tools like Slack, Apollo, Asana and Google Sheets, email verifiers, CRM, Canva, Zapier, Ahrefs, LOOM, chatGPT…etc.
  • Create and submit client reports using Canva.
  • Coordinate with internal team on management of client projects.
  • Point of escalation for general day-to-day challenges relating to editorial link services.
  • Manage service improvement, discover ways to do things better.
